“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16 (NIV)

Have you ever prayed for something again and again, only to wonder if your words were making a difference?

Maybe you’re praying for a loved one to come to Christ. Or for healing that hasn’t come yet. Or for breakthrough in an area that feels stuck.

It’s easy to get discouraged. But Scripture reminds us: prayer is never wasted.

In Luke 18, Jesus tells a story about a persistent widow who kept asking a judge for justice. Day after day, she returned—boldly, relentlessly. And eventually, the judge responded—not because he was compassionate, but because of her persistence.

Jesus used this story to teach us something important: Don’t stop praying.

Not because God is reluctant, but because prayer positions us to receive what He’s already promised. It strengthens our faith. It aligns our hearts with His will. It invites heaven to move on earth.

Why Persistence in Prayer Matters:

✅ It deepens your relationship with God

✅ It reminds you where your hope comes from

✅ It breaks spiritual resistance

✅ It opens doors in ways you can’t yet see

Even when the answer feels delayed—God is working. Sometimes He’s changing circumstances. Sometimes He’s changing us.

Keep praying. Keep believing. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think.

Prayer: Lord, help me to stay persistent in prayer. Even when I don’t see immediate answers, I trust that You are listening, working, and moving. Strengthen my faith and renew my hope as I seek You daily. In Jesus’ name, amen.
