“Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.” – Matthew 25:21

We often look for God in the big moments—the miraculous healing, the powerful service, the breakthrough we’ve been waiting for. But more often than not, God shows up in the ordinary.

In the dishes and laundry. In the drive to work. In the quiet moments when no one’s watching.

David was anointed king, but he still went back to tending sheep. Ruth followed Naomi in quiet loyalty before becoming part of Jesus’ lineage. Jesus Himself lived 30 years in obscurity before His ministry began.

The ordinary is sacred when it’s offered to God.

It’s easy to despise the day of small things. To wonder if our faithfulness matters when no one notices. But heaven sees. And what you do today—your patience, your diligence, your love—is building something eternal.

God is not looking for flashy. He’s looking for faithful.

How to Stay Steady in the Ordinary:

✅ Start your day with God, even if it’s five minutes.

✅ Do what’s in front of you with excellence and joy.

✅ Look for ways to love and serve—right where you are.

✅ Celebrate the unseen victories.

Your consistency is forming Christ in you. Your obedience in the mundane is preparing you for the miraculous.

Prayer: Lord, help me to honor You in the ordinary. Remind me that every moment matters when it’s surrendered to You. Grow my faithfulness in secret so that I can be trusted in the spotlight. In Jesus’ name, amen.
